OCT. 25 - MUSIC MINISTRY WORKSHOP

Music Ministry Retreat and Vocal Workshop

Friday, October 25, 3:45-6:45pm at St. John the Evangelist, Loveland.

Come and join us in learning more about liturgy, ministry and the care of your voice.  You don’t have to be a member of music ministry to attend.  Everyone is part of the sung prayer of the church. Presenter Bonnie Faber will show you ways to open your voice to praise the Lord!  Presented by Denver Chapter of National Association of Pastoral Musicians.

Can’t make it on Friday, the workshop will also be offered Saturday, October 26, 10am-1pm, Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 3900 Pierce St., Wheat Ridge.

About Bonnie Faber

Bonnie Faber.jpg

Bonnie is from Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Born and raised in rural Watkins, Minnesota, Bonnie studied vocal music education at the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, Minnesota, and from there taught for several years in both public and Catholic schools, before turning her focus to parish ministry.  She has become well-known over the years nationally first as a soloist and group singer on many liturgical music recordings, and as a workshop presenter at various conventions of NPM; the voice teacher for the NPM Guitar and Ensemble Institutes, a faculty member for One Call Institute a vital team member for the Music Ministry Alive program, as well as for many diocesan and parish events. Today she has a private studio and continues to form cantors and teach numerous students – young, old, professional and amateur-to literally, “find their voice”.  Every single cantor and student of hers has discovered growth and achieved many victories in their vocal journey and as leaders of sung prayer.  This is the heart of Bonnie’s legacy as a pastoral musician – she has helped us in our song and our prayer to find our true voice.

A LITTLE CHANGE CAN CHANGE LIVES

Your gifts in 2018 helped Birthline serve over 180 clients.  Please help us continue this life-saving ministry!

On the weekend of September 28-29, please take a baby bottle from the foyer and fill with coins, cash, or checks and bring back to church the weekend of November 2 and 3.  By filling the bottles, you are supporting the life-affirming work at Birthline and helping provide free pregnancy tests, advocates (lay counseling for moms and dads), baby clothes, maternity clothes, layettes for new moms, and referrals to services in the community.   Your gifts save lives!
