Weekly Sunday Latin Mass starts July 5

Beginning Sunday, July 5, we will add a 5:00pm Latin Novus Ordo Mass to our regular Sunday schedule.

What to expect at a Latin Mass.  The Mass is celebrated in the Ordinary Form (Novus Ordo) and is not the Traditional Latin Mass.  This Mass unites the beauty of the Church’s ancient language with the structure of the modern liturgy.    While most prayers are in Latin, the readings, homily, and a few songs are in English.  There are pamphlets with the Latin prayers/responses and their English translations to make it easier to follow along.  The music is traditional Gregorian Chant.  Liturgy of the Eucharist is ad orientem with the priest facing the same direction as the congregation.  Receiving communion on the tongue is encouraged, but you may receive in the hand if you prefer.  Expect incense.  Thank you!
